In 1925 Laurin & Klement was acquired by Skoda Works. In late 1959, the Skoda Felicia, was imported into the United States for the 1960 model year. It was a compact four-cylinder convertible coupe that retailed for around $2,700, a rather steep price for a car of its size. The Felicias were plagued by reliability issues in the United States.
